Abstract:

This presentation will provide participants with an awareness of the importance of well-written communication in the business world. Statisticians will obtain an understanding of how to present their results and findings and, ultimately, recommendations to their managers, colleagues, and non-statisticians to move business forward and "showcase" their work. They will be given a step-by-step example of how to communicate statistical analysis--formulating the hypothesis, making assumptions, obtaining the data, and drawing conclusions--using practical business terminology.
