Abstract:

Outliers are a common feature of DNA microarray data. As they may seriously jeopardize the power of any statistical procedures that are performed on the data, it is necessary to consider outlier identification methods and/or outlier resistant methods during the course of an analysis. We will present a sample of proposals along with an illustrative example.
