Abstract:

Since Parker Palmer's book, "The Courage to Teach: Exploring the Inner Landscape of a Teacher's Life," appeared in 1998, numerous universities have held faculty discussion groups and workshops to relate this book to higher education.

We are intrigued by the ideas presented by Palmer and their potential applications to statistical education. We have chosen to explore these applications during our spring semester teaching activities. In this session we will examine the results of this journey.
