Abstract:

Ridge analysis in the one-response setting has been discussed extensively, while it is not the case for multi-responses. The high dimensional nonlinear constrained optimization procedure involved in the usual methods may be too difficult to be implemented in practice. We will propose a new method based on desirability functions, which obtains a much simpler and closed form for constructing the confidence bands about the ridge trace, if certain conditions are satisfied. When these conditions are not satisfied, an ad hoc method is discussed.
