Abstract:

In this paper some distributional properties of the k-record values from independent and identically distributed random variables are considered. The recurrence relations of the moments of k-record values from some selected distributions are presented. Several exact as well as asymptotic results of the spacings of the k-record values are obtained. It is shown that some of the known results of record spacings are special cases of the results obtained in this paper.
