Abstract:

Most of us have an introductory statistics course on our campus. Many of us also teach a follow-up course we might call 'Statistics II," which can come in several forms: a sophomore level survey course, a multiple regression or an ANOVA course, or a junior-level course covering advanced techniques with a little theory mixed in. We will discuss the trials and tribulations of looking for the "ideal" text, including the "monster book" for both semesters, stretching the first book with supplements, or that elusive second book on regression or ANOVA.
