Abstract:

We present Bayesian alternatives to the TDT for binary traits, both when the mode of inheritance of the disease is known and not known. In the mode-known case, joint posterior distribution of the recombination fraction and the disequilibrium coefficient lead to point and interval estimates of these parameters. We evaluate the frequency properties of the Bayesian methods via simulation.
