Abstract:

Statistics is becoming a necessary tool in all areas of the Life Sciences. The need to include statistics in their work has led Life Science professionals to seek statistical training opportunities. As statisticians in industry, training scientists comes with many challenges. Among them are working around busy schedules (both yours and the scientists'), focusing on their statistical needs and applicability, keeping the scientists motivated, maintaining costs, keeping it succinct, and committing to long-term retraining programs. This talk focuses on approaches to addressing these challenges and delivering more successful statistical training to professional scientists.
