Abstract:

Providers are suspicious of profiling methods and software that purport to measure or to improve the quality and outcomes of medical care. Success requires an entire data-driven system: an articulated vision, relevant information, achievable objectives, identification of contributing factors, designated agents for change, specific expected outcomes and priorities, consensus on improvement indicators, specific measures, a communication strategy, and a timetable for results. This session will present a practical guide with evidence from case studies.
