Abstract:

The charges of the American Statistical Association (ASA) committees and task force on membership have been to promote and preserve membership in the Association. This talk analyzes data to answer some membership questions. It is an illustration of the use of statistics in an era of technological change. The speaker explains how recent development in forecasting can be used to assist the ASA. For example, he will predict the size of the Association membership.
