Abstract:

The Bayesian approach is generating substantial interest in the new and rapidly growing field of health economics. Cost-effectiveness is usually assessed either by the analysis of clinical trials in which data are gathered on both efficacy and costs, or by building an economic model to draw together information from various sources. This talk will address the use of Bayesian methods in both of these areas.
