Abstract:

ActivEPi is an interactive CD-rom-based teaching module for presenting and exploring basic methods of epidemiology. Patterned after a similar product, Activ-Stat, ActivEpi allows the teacher/student to explore principles of epidemiology from study design, risk estimation, principles of confounding and adjustment, and evaltuation in an interactive or classroom environment. Useful software is provided to allow the students to analyze real epidemiologic data.
