The focus of this luncheon's discussion will be on the current state of the art in HRQOL measurement. Major issues for discussion will include classic test theory vs. IRT (item response theory) in the development of scales, psychometric evidence for labeling and promotional claims, and outcome interpretation in the multidimensional setting.
