Abstract:
|
It is well-known that QT interval is negatively correlated with heart rate. Although various correction methods were proposed to normalize the QT interval, universal correction method may not be available due to population and subject variations. A pre-specified correction formula thus may well over- or undercorrect the QT interval. This phenomenon could be avoided by data-driven correction formula. For a drug interaction study, different formulae were applied and compared numerically and graphically. The Fridericia and Hodges correction methods seem to better fit the ECG data among the alternatives. A random coefficient regression (RCR) model based correction method is proposed. This individualized linear correction method gives some easier interpretable results compared with other available correction methods.
