Description

Decision trees are especially efficient in discovering multi-dimensional relationships within complex, large databases and presenting this discovered knowledge in an easy-to-understand tree display. Prominent applications include targeting direct-mail campaigns, qualifying credit-card applications, profiling customers, identifying cross- and up-sell opportunities, and analyzing clinical-trail data. This one-day seminar is geared towards business users and IT audiences who are interested in understanding decision-tree technology what it is, why it works, how it has been used, and how it can help you make better business decisions. The seminar provides a thorough foundation for every aspect of data mining with decision trees, including a hands-on demonstration of CART, and will address within the context of real-world examples: tree-structure data mining fundamentals; robust decision-tree applications; CART data-mining analysis concepts; building and interpreting decision-tree models; advanced options and controls: refining CART models and next-generation hybrid data-mining techniques.
