Description

This workshop is for teachers of introductory statistics who are interested in combining a web-based approach with a traditional text-based course. GyberGnostic is a complete web-based course with core material similar to a traditional textbook, but augmented by dozens of interactive applets, self-assessments tests with immediate feedback and other features that are not possible in a traditional textbook. Mind On Statistics is a new textbook from Duxbury Press that combines the traditional introductory statistics curriculum with statistical literacy. The instructors for this course, Jesica Utts and Robert Heckard, are the authors of Mind On Statistics and two of the many contributing authors of CyberGnostics. Utts is also overall editor of CyberGnostics.
