Description

Data mining is one of the hottest analytical technique used by productive business to uncover new trends and patterns in their massive amount of database that lead to proactive decision making. This full day lecture-only course covers fundamental concepts to understanding and successfully applying data mining methods by using powerful data mining tools in the form of user-friendly SAS macros. These data mining techniques stress the use of visualization to thoroughly study the structure of data and to check the validity of statistical model fitted to data. The participants will lean different sampling techniques, exploratory graphical techniques in univariate distribution analysis, frequency data analysis for categorical data, multiple and logistic regression, discriminant and cluster analysis by using the user-friendly SAS macros and macro-call files included with the course materials.
