Description

In this 4-hour presentation, participants will lean some perspectives and techniques that should assist them in communicating scientific research, including statistical information, to non-statisticians through the statistical consulting report and the scientific article. The presentation will consist of four primary topics: 1) the Perspective of Communication, 2) The Statistical Report and the Scientific Article, 3) Reporting Statistics in Medicine, and 4) Writing Skills. Instruction will be by lecture-discussion and by individual and group activities. There are no prerequisites. However, participants should understand that the workshop is not a review of English composition and is not intended to improve the English capabilities of non-native English speakers.
