With the 2000 Census, survey researchers have examined public perceptions about the census, data sharing by government agencies for statistical purposes, or the confidentiality and privacy of the census and government sponsored surveys. Research is presented on public perceptions, both among household and business populations. Survey findings about perceptions of the confidentiality and the privacy of information collected through censuses and surveys are examined.
