Description
The National Center for Health Statistics has funded three Centers to conduct methodological research on topics of importance to the health and health care services fields. The papers in this session present results from five of the projects being conducted at the Centers. The topics range from examinations of statistical matching methods for linking birth and
health care records, linking data across surveys drawn from the same primary sampling units or segments, the effects of nonresponse on the mean square error in longitudinal studies, and an examination of commonly applied weighting methods for unequal probabilities and nonresponse in surveys.
