Description
Microarray technology has becoming an increasingly important tool for pharmaceutical research and is transforming the way biological research is done. Statistical issues include data quality, data normalization, significance testing. Interesting scientific questions range from identifying differentially expressed genes, sub-class discovery using gene expression profiling technique, prediction of drug response using gene expression profile, etc. The goal of this session is to provide a forum where on-going research in this exciting new area will be presented to the statistical community. The session aims to cover the following different areas: data processing, significance testing; identification of differentially expressed genes for marker selection; analysis of gene regulatory network.
