Description

This session will focus on screening for disease based on values of a biological marker that are measured serially over time. Methods will be explored which allow incorporation of information on the marker trajectory (as opposed to single measurement values) as part of the screening process. Examples include the use of CA125 profiles in screening for ovarian cancer, as well as using PSA (prostate specific antigen) trajectories to screen for prostate cancer.
