Description

This session will illustrate the utility of data mining techniques at different stages of drug development. During the drug discovery phase, the challenge may be to elucidate pattern and structure in very large high-dimensional databases (e.g. activity or genomic information). Following approval of a drug for sale, the challenge may be to sift through a registry of post-approval data, e.g. to pick up potentially important safety signals.
