Discussant: 9:50 AM - Max Morris, Iowa State University
Floor Discussion 10:05 AM
Description

This session will focus on four areas of drug discovery and development: pharmacokinetic modeling/dose response, screening experiments, crossover designs for medical studies, and optimal experimental design for clinical trials. Each of these areas requires different techniques and experimental designs to reduce cycle time, increase efficiency, and yield statistically more precise results. All speakers are well known and actively involved in application and development of statistical methods for pharmaceutical studies. Talks will deal with practical issues and emphasize results that can be used by statisticians in the field.
