TL19: Sensitivity/Specificity with a Inadequate Truth
*Hope Baskerville Knuckles, Abbott Keywords: With many of the new novel biomarkers, there are diagnoses that are based on older criteria. In some cases a diagnosis is made that is based on only one marker, with substantially inferior sensitivity/specificity or with a longer lead time than what is desired. This round table is designed to discuss possible statistical techiniques that could be used to mitigate an inferior diagnosis, or to mitigate observing poorer performance for a new biomarker.
