TL21: Safety Data Meta-Analysis
*Susan Huyck, Merck & Co. Keywords: "Meta-analyses are being increasingly used in the evaluation of safety data both prior to and after a product’s approval. Over the last several years, some meta-analyses have resulted in controversial product actions. The application of sound methodologic and scientific criteria based on statistical principles is the key to analyzing and understanding the findings of meta-analyses. This roundtable will continue the discussion on meta-analyses for safety data and will touch on some recent research including a joint work by Ellen Snyder and Gary Koch on the application of life-table methods to pooled safety data."
