This presentation fits within Theme 1: Career, Professional, and Leadership Development. As statistical practitioners engage in their careers, a real danger exists that they fall into a routine which becomes a rut. Suddenly, ten or twenty years pass by and they find themselves asking, “what will be my legacy?” A very helpful practice is to stop and take stock of your situation. This presentation will assist the participants to consider their strengths and skills in order to maximize their impact for the second half of their careers. Areas of consideration will include: mentorship, leadership, personal goals, using stats for the good of society, etc. The presentation will present the key issues, answer questions, and provide the participants a guide for introspection.
