Statistical collaboration laboratories (“stat labs”) train the next generation of statistical practitioners; create space for statisticians, data scientists, researchers, businesses, and policy makers to collaborate to enable and accelerate research and data-driven business decisions; and engage with their community, teaching short courses and workshops that improve statistical skills and data literacy. Because stat labs have a dual function of building statistics capacity internally and promoting statistics and data science externally, they play a critical role in the formation, propagation, and appreciation of good statistical practice. This poster will feature a collection of best practices from the LISA 2020 Network of stat labs around the world in Nigeria, India, Ghana, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Brazil, USA, and Zimbabwe. The poster will also highlight unique features (case studies) of four stat labs, which will bring new ideas and best practices to the CSP attendees.
