SAS is considered by many to be the gold standard for statistical programming and analysis in many industries. Unfortunately, end-users of analyses and reports developed by statisticians and SAS programmers must rely on those developers every time they have an ad hoc request. Alternatively, end-users could update and run the code themselves. Neither situation is ideal, and the latter may be dangerous depending on the comfort level of the end-user and how well the SAS code was written. What if there were a way to eliminate these concerns? My proposal is to use SAS Studio Tasks! Statisticians and SAS programmers no longer need to be bottlenecks for users getting the ad hoc reports they need, and users don’t need to worry about opening and running SAS code. With SAS Studio Tasks, users are empowered to run “tasks” themselves by providing options (or input values) in an easy-to-understand web interface. The web interface hides the underlying SAS code from the user and also removes any ambiguity about how values should be entered or selected. In this manner, SAS Studio Tasks aren’t just for programmers; they’re for everyone!
