Python is the one of the most popular programming languages today and a useful tool in the data scientist's tool belt. The goal of this active learning session is to introduce the basics of the Python language to participants and to familiarize attendees with the various tools to code and build data science models in Python. The content of the session will include: An introduction to the Python language, Installing and Configuring Python using the Anaconda distribution, Installing and Managing Packages, Using Data Structures, Accessing and Manipulating Data and Coding Control Flows and Functions. At the end of the session there will be a walkthrough of a simple data science model to see how it all works together and learn some basic data science fundamentals.
