In fast paced statistical consulting environments, we are faced with balancing quality and reusability with aggressive schedules. In addition to a risk of repeatedly reinventing the wheel, difficulties arise in maintenance of tribal knowledge and organization in collaborative consulting teams. These issues can result in problems with quality, timeliness, and organizational efficiency. The Boeing Research & Technology Applied Math Group has improved productivity and quality using a statistical consulting full kit, which consists of a set of best practices for collaboration, a method for vetting analyses and code for reuse, and a knowledge management process. This toolkit consists of three components which address the general needs of a statistical consulting team of any experience level: 1) A collection of internally developed R packages and analysis templates and a set of development practices for code review and reuse 2) Guidelines and best practices for collaboration through version control using Git and Gitlab as a collaboration platform 3) A system for document indexing and information mining based on Apache Lucene/Solr and text analytics technology for knowledge management
