TL21: An Arithmetically Progressed Poisson Process and Its Application in Bio-Sciences (302367)

*Mian Arif Shams Adnan, Bowling Green State University

Keywords: Arithmetic progression.

In this paper we have tried to present an alternative approach for Poisson Process with a new concept of sampling having a more general form apart from the traditional methods of sampling. The existing Poisson process may be obtained as a special case of our newly suggested Arithmetically Progressed Poisson Process. The basic distributional properties of the proposed process are also examined including the extension of the generalized Poisson distribution. Several features of stochastic process in bio-sciences (like the processes for twins as for an example) have been displayed by the direct application of the Poisson Process.
