Data science applications in consulting vary greatly by the project needs. Different challenges present themselves in terms of data formats, size, platforms, and software for processing and analysis. This presentation will discuss three different projects, and how the data was visualized across different software platforms (R, SAS) to best present results. The first project analyzed trends in surgical data, whereas the second uses classification trees to identify strong factors associated with the outcome. The third project provides different visualization results of a latin hypercube sampling design for a sparse computer experiment. The data visualization needs varied for each project, such as maps, classification trees, or heat maps, but each communicated the results clearly to the demands of the project.
