This roundtable brings together experiences from statisticians working in analytics for social good. Participants include professionals in academia, industry, and the government sector, students, and volunteers using our statistical training for the greater good of society. The presenter will share experiences working with local charities, universities, NGO's, and other organizations both in the US and around the world. The mission, methods and focus of some organizations are presented, including Statistics Without Borders, ASA committees and outreach groups, DataKind, and others. The discussion will then turn to practical recommendations for getting connected to projects, helping Roundtable attendees to get involved in Data for Social Good.
