Abstract:
|
A scientific journal that publishes data-based research papers can use a threshold p-value as a "gateway" to publication for submitted papers. The gateway helps the journal to maximize the long-run scientific and social benefits of the research papers it publishes. A constructive graphical argument shows that the optimal threshold p-value for a scientific journal exists.
