Abstract:
|
This paper proposes a new space-time CUSUM approach for detecting changes in spatially distributed count data while accounting for risk factors. We propose a spatial autoregressive model with covariates to account for both spatial autocorrelation and to adjust for risk factors in surveillance. A case study for monitoring COVID-19 case counts adjusted for social vulnerability is presented to illustrate the application of the proposed methodology in public health surveillance.
