Abstract

In this talk we will briefly summarize the areas in network science where statisticians have invested particularly deeply as a community, touching on topics like network topology inference, community detection, and network modeling. We will then pivot to describe what appear to be emerging areas of emphasis and contributions therein to date, such as uncertainty quantification, multiple networks, and causal inference on networks.
