The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Enterprise Conceptual Data Model (ECDM) is a conceptual data model that provides a common authoritative mechanism to capture and describe core cybersecurity and infrastructure security concepts.
The CISA ECDM can be used to harmonize and standardize cyber and critical infrastructure vocabulary and meaning across federal government agencies; state, local, territorial, tribal (SLTT) governments; and the private sector.
The ECDM is a tool for the CISA Chief Data Officer to understand what data is available; what data required for CISA’s mission is missing and needs to be created or acquired; and how well different acquired solutions will meet that need. This presentation will discuss the approach for building the ECDM, provide an overview of the ECDM, and the role of an ECDM in an organization.
