Quizzes are a staple in the educator's toolbox. With intentional design and implementation choices, a short, basic quiz can be a powerful learning tool. In this presentation, I will discuss these design choices, their pedagogical foundations, and my experiences using quick quizzes in undergraduate statistics courses. Adaptations appropriate for various class settings (e.g., virtual or in-person, synchronous or asynchronous, flipped or traditional) will also be presented.
