The ASA recently published a statement on Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. In the statement, the leadership of the ASA committed to critically appraising and improving the effectiveness of JEDI efforts and to sharing openly the ASA’s diversity and inclusion efforts and the solutions that have been implemented. In this talk, we examine several initiatives the ASA is undertaking to reduce the impact of racial and ethnic bias within our organization and, more broadly, our discipline.
