Abstract:
|
Many randomized clinical trials to evaluate the potential treatment effects for COVID-19 have been conducted. Their results had received a lot public attention during the on-going pandemic. However, there are a lot important issues in interpreting the trial results. We will discuss the principles and considerations in selecting endpoint, measures of the treatment effect and corresponding statistical inference methods in efficacy studies for treating COVID-19. We will use several completed and on-going studies to illustrate our points.
