Abstract:
|
Patients want effective and affordable treatments to be made available in time to be of help to them. Research subjects want to participate in studies that produce the best scientific information with the least amount of risk possible. These are more than issues of logistics; they are directly related to best practices in ethical research. This presentation looks at the ethical principles of respect for persons, beneficence and justice and correlates them to the practical benefits of innovative designs.
