Abstract

Deep neural networks have gained immense popularity within the last decade due to their outstanding success in many important machine learning tasks such as image recognition, speech recognition, and natural language processing. In this talk, I will give an introduction to neural networks with a focus on computer vision applications. Topics covered include general neural network architectures, loss functions, learning algorithms, and convolutional neural networks.
