Abstract:

The accuracy of weather forecasts is likely dependent on many factors including the closeness of the forecast, location, and seasonality. Understanding the reliability and the shortcomings of predictions across the highly varied climate of the United States provides valuable context for interpreting weather forecasts. Exploration of the weather forecast data provides insight on factors associated with weather forecast accuracy. In addition, graphics aid in detecting region-specific trends and anomalies associated with weather predictions in the United States.
