Abstract:
|
In this paper, we examine volumes of persons obtaining Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) status and those naturalized by Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) per capita of population. We investigate characteristics of MSAs that appear to attract these newly minted U.S. persons, such as economic status and employment opportunities. Multiple open data sources from U.S. Census Bureau and Bureau of Labor Statistics are used in the analyses.
