VIF-BEEF is a didactic board game developed as a mechanism of teaching. Its purpose is to facilitate or encourage the student's learning of statistical concepts such as the assumptions that we need in linear regression. The game is about solving a murder case.At the beginning the players have to choose a specific murder case and a one assumption. Each one of them is selected by spinning a roulette of colors. Each color represents a different case and a different assumption. In the board there are clues that the players have to use in order to solve the case.In order to get a clue the players have to achieve a challenge first. Each challenge is a question about the assumption that the players choose at the beginning of the game. The challenges can be questions of true and false, exits from R,interpretations of graphs, definitions, test`s interpretations, and formulas. To move around the board the players have to roll two dice.In order to win the players have to arrive to the end of the board and figure out who the killer is.Learning by playing is natural for people, and this game tries to get and maintain the student's attention to make teaching more effective.
