Abstract:

Recently, joint censoring scheme has received practical significance in the statistical life-tests of products. In this paper, we propose a new scheme called joint multiply progressive Type II censoring. This paper presents the statistical inference on the scale parameter for the exponential distribution. Based on the joint multiply progressive Type II censoring scheme, we consider the maximum likelihood estimator of the scale parameters. The scale parameter is estimated by approximate maximum likelihood methods that use Taylor series expansion. Then We compare the performances of different methods by Monte Carlo simulations.
