Abstract:

During the lamination process of photovoltaic (PV) module, the performance of the PV modules has been greatly relevant with the degree of cross-linking for EVA sheet. The degree of cross-linking for EVA sheet is conventionally obtained by using the extraction method to measure the gel content of EVA sheet. Motivated by lamination tests on PV modules, this study first constructed the extreme value regression model to describe the relationship between the degree of cross-linking for EVA sheet and lamination time. Then, the optimal lamination time of solar modules can be obtained under pre-fixed specification limits of gel content measured by the extraction method. And, the optimal allocation for measuring gel content was addressed at multiple lamination times by the criterion of minimizing the asymptotic variance of the estimated optimal lamination time. Finally, the motivating example was revisited to illustrate the proposed method.
