Title: Statistical Challenges and Opportunities for Analysis of Massive Biobank Data
Author(s): Xihong Lin*
Companies: Harvard University
Keywords: Whole Genome Sequencing; psychiatric disease/trait
Abstract:

Massive biobank data are rapidly available, such as the recently available UK Biobank data, which provide data of 500,000 subjects on massive genotypes, demographics, risk factors, prescriptions, a large number of lab results, traits and disease phenotypes from ICD9 code. We discuss in this talk challenges and opportunities for analysis of massive biobank data, eg, inference for massive data, integrative analysis using summary statistics, pleiotropy, and causal inference for understanding biological pathways.
