The panelists would present an international perspective on best practices and common pitfalls in growing leaders in statistics and data sciences in terms of STEM, undergraduate programs, graduate programs, and postdoc or junior faculty mentoring. The session is a collaboration between Mu Sigma Rho, the International Indian Statistical Association, the Korean International Statistical Society, and the International Chinese Statistical Association. The panel consists of distinguished members of the international associations of the ASA and they have a diverse, wide ranging background across almost all sectors of applications in statistics and represent academia, industry and government. The panel will begin with very brief opening remarks by each of the members moderated by the chair of the panel and then the floor will be open to Q&As from the floor. Panelists and chair include past winners of the William D. Warde statistical education award by Mu Sigma Rho, and current or recent Presidents of co-sponsoring Associations.
